A personal site about objects built to last, design that justifies itself without shouting, and places in Japan that don't show up on the first page of results. Currently being built by hand.

The name comes from a Porsche 911 colour offered in the early 1970s — a warm, dusty brown that looked wrong on paper and completely right on the car. That's the standard we're applying here.
